令和8年4月19日に念願だった加賀国一宮白山比咩神社、勧進帳で有名な「安宅の関」に鎮座する安宅住吉神社で古武道演武大会を開催いたします。
徳島に安土桃山時代に伝えられた柳生新陰流である阿州柳生神影流兵法剣術や伝承舞が演武されます。
徳島県古武道協会は、徳島に伝承された古武道の保存振興だけではなく、各神社での演武大会の開催や他流派との交流も目的とされています。
また開催地の白山比咩神社は白山信仰の総本山で全国から参拝者が訪れるパワースポットであり、安宅住吉神社は全国で唯一の難関突破神社として有名です。
On April 19, 2026, we will hold a traditional martial arts demonstration at the long-awaited venue: Ataka Sumiyoshi Shrine, located at “Ataka no Seki”—the checkpoint made famous by the *Kanjincho*—within the grounds of Hakusan Hime Shrine, the principal shrine of Kaga Province.
The event will feature demonstrations of Azu Yagyu Shinkage-ryu swordsmanship—a branch of the Yagyu Shinkage-ryu brought to Tokushima during the Azuchi-Momoyama period—as well as traditional dances.
The Tokushima Prefecture Traditional Martial Arts Association aims not only to preserve and promote the traditional martial arts passed down in Tokushima but also to hold demonstration events at various shrines and foster exchanges with other schools.
Furthermore, Hakusan Hime Shrine, the venue for this event, is the head temple of the Hakusan faith and a spiritual power spot visited by worshippers from across the country, while Ataka Sumiyoshi Shrine is famous as the only shrine in Japan dedicated to overcoming difficult challenges.
