3月15日に大阪府堺市にある和泉国一之宮大鳥大社でNPO法人徳島県古武道協会主催大鳥大社日本武尊増祀祭古武道大会を開催いたします。
徳島に安土桃山時代に伝えられ現在でも久武館道場で守り続けられている阿州柳生神影流兵法剣術、棒術、短刀術をはじめ伝承舞を披露致します。
大鳥大社は10月の第１土曜日の鳳だんじり祭が有名ですが日本武尊を祀る全国の大鳥神社および大鳥信仰の総本社という別の顔を持っており武道信仰の厚い名社です。
当日は大相撲大阪場所で若隆景などが属する荒汐部屋も寄宿しており賑やかな大会になると思います。
主催者である NPO法人徳島県古武道協会は、徳島に伝承された古武道の保存振興だけではなく、各神社での演武大会の開催やイベント開催、他流派との交流も目的とされています。興味のある方は協会までお問い合わせください。
On March 15th, the NPO Tokushima Prefecture Kobudo Association will host the Ohtori Grand Shrine Yamato Takeru Enshrinement Festival Kobudo Tournament at Izumi Province’s First Shrine, Ohtori Grand Shrine, located in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture.
We will demonstrate traditional martial arts passed down to Tokushima during the Azuchi-Momoyama period and still preserved today at the Kubukan Dojo, including Ashū Yagyū Shinkage-ryū martial arts sword techniques, staff techniques, short sword techniques, and traditional dances.
While Ōtorijinja is famous for its Hōdanjiri Festival held on the first Saturday of October, it also serves as the head shrine for all Ōtorijinja shrines nationwide dedicated to Yamato Takeru and the Ōtorijinja faith, making it a renowned shrine deeply connected to martial arts devotion.
The event coincides with the Osaka Grand Sumo Tournament, where the Arashio stable, home to wrestlers like Wakaryokage, is also staying, promising a lively gathering.
The organizer, the NPO Tokushima Prefecture Ancient Martial Arts Association, aims not only to preserve and promote ancient martial arts passed down in Tokushima but also to hold demonstration tournaments at various shrines, organize events, and foster exchanges with other schools.
