10月11日に美馬市木屋平の川上神社でNPO法人徳島県古武道協会主催美馬市川上神社古武道演武大会を開催いたしました。
徳島に安土桃山時代に伝えられ、現在でも久武館道場で守り続けられている阿州柳生神影流兵法剣術や伝承舞を川上神社で演武いたしました。
川上神社はかつて剣山登山口の宿場町として栄え剣会の期間中は大変な賑わいでした。
その名残として神社の建物は非常に立派で当時の隆盛を彷彿させます。
このような素晴らしい場所で古武道大会を開催でき恐縮しております。微力ながら川上神社の繁栄に貢献できればと思います。
On October 11th, the NPO Tokushima Prefecture Kobudo Association hosted the Mima City Kawakami Shrine Kobudo Demonstration Tournament at Kawakami Shrine in Kiyadaira, Mima City.
We demonstrated Ashū Yagyū Shinkage-ryū Heihō Kenshū (Yagyū Shinkage-ryū martial arts) and traditional dances at Kawakami Shrine.
These arts were introduced to Tokushima during the Azuchi-Momoyama period and are still preserved today at the Kyūbukan Dojo.
Kawakami Shrine once flourished as a post town at the base of Mt. Tsurugi and was bustling during the sword festival period.
The shrine buildings remain exceptionally grand, evoking its former prosperity.
We are deeply honored to hold this ancient martial arts tournament in such a magnificent location.
We hope, in our small way, to contribute to the continued prosperity of Kawakami Shrine.
