７月20日に徳島市蔵本町の蔵本八坂神社でNPO法人徳島県古武道協会主催蔵本八坂神社古武道演武大会を開催いたしました。
徳島に安土桃山時代に伝承された阿州柳生神影流兵法剣術を披露致しました。
参道にずらりと夜店や提灯が飾られ幻想的な雰囲気を醸し出す祇園祭は楽しい夏の始まりを感じさせてくれます。
このような素晴らしい機会を提供していただきました、蔵本八坂神社の福本宮司様をはじめ神社関係者の皆様、祇園祭実行委員会の皆様にはこの場を借りて御礼申しあげます。
On July 20, a kobudo demonstration was held at Kuramoto Yasaka Shrine in Kuramoto-cho, Tokushima City, sponsored by the NPO Tokushima Kobudo Association.
We performed the Ashu Yagyu Shinkage Ryu swordsmanship, which was handed down in Tokushima during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1603).
The Gion Festival, with its fantastic atmosphere created by the night stalls and lanterns decorating the approach to the shrine, is a delightful way to start the summer.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Fukumoto, chief priest of Kuramoto Yasaka Shrine, all the people involved with the shrine, and the Gion Festival Executive Committee for providing us with such a wonderful opportunity.
